Many organizations are reaping the benefits of adopting structured content such as XML or DITA, but this is often contained within silos of the business.

Organizations are now looking to how they can close the loop between dedicated authors and subject matter experts, or even external partners and customers, to create and contribute to structured documents in a collaborative way. However, there are some significant challenges that stand in their way:

  • The cost and complexity of using and training on dedicated desktop XML editing tools is often prohibitive to the expansion of structured content
  • Sharing of knowledge and content between the silos of the business is complex because of different tools and information structures
  • Subject matter experts and untrained authors expect an easy and familiar way of creating and contributing to content

SDL Xopus helps break down the barriers to adoption of structured content. It is an online XML editor designed to simplify the editing experience and enable collaborative content development.

It provides non-technical content creators and contributors with a simple, browser-based environment to develop complex content quickly and easily without ever breaking the underlying structure.
